Our organisation was invited by the Himalayan Association in Nature Study Camp held at Jhalong, North Bengal, from 26th Jan to 30th Jan 2011. Our key role in the camp was to demonstrate Night Sky to the participants with and without telescope. The programme was successful. This picture was taken inside the Bus, on the way to Home.

National Children' Science Congress 2007

He is Master Sourojit, was selected from our district under the co-ordination of our organisation for participation in the sixteenth National Children’s Science Congress during Dec 27-31, 2008 (organized by NCSTC network / RVPSP-DST Govt of India) at Vidya Pratishthan, Baramati, Maharashtra. Moreover the same projected was sort listed among the twenty five best projects throughout the India. It is also a matter of proud that on the basis of his performance at NCSC the participant was also selected for International Youth Science Congress at Manila, Philippine.

Our organization started middle of 1984 with the name “Vigyan Chetna Samannaya, Howrah” to promote the astronomical awareness among the students especially focusing on forthcoming Halley’s Comet event. We also organized Halley’s Comet Observation Camp at Khorop, Amta, Howrah under the technical guidance of Mr. Ajay Talwar (CIAA).
